To assist as Public Relations (PR) person to bring in new enrollment (recruitment); distribute periodically information, etc. out in community;

• Direct contact to Executive Director for direction of daily or weekly communication of program flow and operation management;
• To assist Executive Director with staff training, workshops, retreat, etc.
• Assistant to Program Management Team i.e. scheduling, coverage and day to day operations; provide general oversight of program implementation
• To continue implementation and preparation for private kindergarten school
• On going student recruitment and introduce program to advance Prek students
• Create lesson plans for kindergarten curriculum
• Conduct kindergarten class from instructional lesson plan accordingly (until program increase)
• Maintain documentation to support on-going programmatic review
• Develop a process for monthly collection of required documentation necessary for reporting to DPI
• Maintain daily attendance for students enrolled
• Maintain students' initial assessments and on-going documentation for school purposes
• Select staff that can meet the demands of operating a kindergarten program
• Maintain and communicate to staff or substitutes clear understanding of the daily activities and lessons when necessary
• Communicate goals and objectives of the program to staff, volunteers, parents and community members
• Develop and communicate written policies and procedures to address staff expectations, program guidelines, and requirements for students health and safety
• Maintain procedures to ensure high-quality performance
• Submit quarterly and annual reports to the department of public instruction as required
• Cultivate and supports positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Establish plans to achieve goals set by Wanda's Little Hands Educational Center, Inc.
• Analyze and evaluate independently curriculum, guidelines, and procedures to concur for next program year
• To ensure family centered practices in all program activities to establish parent communication
• To ensure clear, open, and frequent communication with staff to keep updated information with policy or program changes
• To assure the order, cleanliness, and safety of the classroom
• To maintain onboarding required documents for employment i.e. TB test, finger prints and criminal background check, and medical;
• To assist in maintaining program policies documentation i.e. staff handbook and manual as necessary and provide input of changes and updates;
• Supports Executive Director in the teacher evaluation process
• Convey with teaching staff to engage, support, and disseminate instructional information
• Support Executive Director in building the daily schedule to optimize student learning, enrichment, and exposure to core curriculum enhancing student interests
• Provide feedback to teaching staff from observation and training
• Monitor and analyze classroom environment, structure and classroom management to make informed decisions towards enhancement and growth
• Lead the coordination of program events with Tier leaders i.e. Family Nights, Black History, Fall Festival, Annual events, Graduation
• Establish community partners in support of the program growth
• Coordinate with Program Administrator to ensure in-service training, and instructional needs are met
• Lead in the development of the calendars (academic, assessment and professional development)
• Coordinate professional development activities for the program and support the coordination of professional development for all staff
• Model and coach teachers in the implementation of feedback
• Collaborate with Program Administrator on Teacher and Student Recruitment efforts.
• Actively engage program and teaching staff with community agencies in support of increasing community involvement in our program
• To obtain professional training including annual training requiremnts
• To always maintain professional approach both with parents/staff
• To follow and maintain State and Department of Public Instruction guidelines
• To always keep open communication with Executive Director and Program Director of Compliance of any concerns or problems
• To convey with Executive Director weekly (each Friday) if applicable for review of program implementation, concerns, or any changes; all correspondence will be reviewed prior to going out or implemented

Education and Experience

An undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university is required. The Program Director must possess above skills, knowledge and qualities. Preferbly licensed teacher that have taught kindergarten.
