Key Responsibilities

• Diagnostics & Repair: Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and mechanical/electrical repairs on Mercedes-Benz vehicles in accordance with factory standards.
• Inspections & Quality Control: Perform thorough multi-point inspections, accurately identify recommended maintenance, and ensure every vehicle is repaired correctly the first time.
• Documentation: Accurately document diagnostic findings, inspection results, and technician notes clearly on repair orders.
• Workflow & Efficiency: Complete warranty and customer-pay repairs efficiently, maintaining productivity while meeting dealership quality and efficiency goals.
• Factory Tools & Systems: Utilize Mercedes-Benz diagnostic equipment, technical service information, and digital inspection systems.
• Cross-Department Collaboration: Work collaboratively with Service Advisors, Parts Department personnel, and fellow technicians to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
• Shop Safety & Organization: Follow all safety procedures, maintain a clean, organized work area, and comply with dealership policies.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience: Previous professional automotive repair experience with the ability to diagnose and repair vehicles independently.
• Licensing: Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
• Tools: Must own professional hand tools (specialty diagnostic tools provided by the dealership where applicable).
• Physical & Technical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work in a fast-paced shop environment, and demonstrate basic computer proficiency for digital inspection systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous dealership technician experience (Mercedes-Benz experience strongly preferred).
• Mercedes-Benz Star Certification or ASE Certifications are a plus.
• Strong diagnostic, mechanical, and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, time management, and a team-oriented mindset.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation Details

• Expected Annual Earnings: $80,000.00 – $200,000.00+
• Pay Structure: Competitive flat-rate pay plan. Top-performing technicians regularly exceed the advertised earning range based on productivity, efficiency, certifications, and overall performance.
• California Labor Law Compliance: In accordance with California law, employees are paid at least minimum wage for all applicable non-productive duties, rest periods, and other compensable time.
