Nurse Practitioner

Job Description Pain Management Practice is looking for a Nurse Practitioner to join our group. The nurse practitioner will attend clinic and job responsibilities are as follows but are not limited to: Performs physical exams, writes orders, and interprets diagnostic procedures including, but not limited to x-rays, laboratory testing, magnetic resonance imaging, etc. Utilizes prescriptive authority under the direction of physician in accordance with state and federal laws. Instructs patients on prescribed therapeutic regimens, treatment, and medication. Maintains records, writes orders and progress notes in patient charts as to status, treatments and procedures. Provides follow-up health maintenance care to patients in accordance with protocols established with physicians. Communicates with physicians, patients and the family members of patients concerning patient care. Qualifications One year of experience required. Current licensing as a Registered Nurse Practitioner by the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas and certification by a recognized certified body for nurse and recognition by the Board of Nurse Examiners as a Nurse Practitioner.
