Overview: The Juilliard School is accepting applications for full-time faculty in the Department of Music Theory and Analysis to begin in Fall 2026. The Department offers a five-semester undergraduate core plus numerous electives. Graduate offerings range widely and include over 20 electives. For the DMA program, courses include advanced counterpoint and harmony, history of theory, historical style seminars, manuscript studies, and analysis and performance. The Department also offers courses for Juilliard’s Dance and Drama divisions. Juilliard students are passionate artists and performers with a wide range of musical interests. Our classroom faculty deliver a curriculum that engages, challenges, and inspires them on their path towards artistic excellence. The salary range for this role is $94,000 - $100,000 per year.QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications: Doctorate (Ph.D. or D.M.A.) in music theory or in a closely-related field with substantive training in music theory and analysis.
