Location: Bronx, NY 10467
Duration: 3 Months
Hours: 34.5 hours/week
Shift: 11.5 hours/day

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – House Supervisor to provide nursing leadership and clinical oversight during assigned house-coverage shifts. The RN House Supervisor will support daily clinical operations, coordinate nursing activities, provide guidance to nursing staff, and help ensure compliance with applicable healthcare standards, regulations, and organizational policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing leadership and supervision during assigned house-coverage shifts.
• Coordinate nursing activities and support smooth clinical operations.
• Provide guidance and support to nursing staff regarding patient-care needs and clinical issues.
• Assist with managing staffing, patient-care priorities, and operational concerns during the shift.
• Monitor compliance with facility policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Support quality and patient-safety initiatives.
• Maintain awareness of Joint Commission standards and applicable healthcare regulations.
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, administrators, and other healthcare professionals.
• Respond appropriately to clinical and operational issues requiring supervisory intervention.
• Promote safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care throughout the assigned shift.

Required Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited nursing program.
• Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license .
• Primary-source verification of NYS RN license and registration through the New York State Education Department (NYSED) .
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Current AHA PALS certification.
• Current AHA ACLS certification.
• Minimum 2 years of acute-care nursing supervision experience .
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Joint Commission standards .
• Strong clinical judgment, leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
