We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support the financial operations of a non-profit organization in Long Branch, New Jersey. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records, managing day-to-day transactions, and helping ensure timely financial reporting. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with QuickBooks and a strong understanding of payables, receivables, and account reconciliation.
Responsibilities:
• Record and maintain financial transactions with accuracy, ensuring accounting records remain current and well organized.
• Process vendor invoices and payments in a timely manner while monitoring outstanding obligations.
• Prepare and issue customer or donor-related invoices and track incoming payments to keep receivables up to date.
• Reconcile bank accounts regularly and investigate discrepancies to maintain reliable financial data.
• Use QuickBooks to enter transactions, update ledgers, and generate routine financial information.
• Assist with month-end bookkeeping activities by reviewing balances and confirming supporting documentation.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to resolve billing, payment, and account-related questions.
