An exciting contract opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) to support preschool through elementary students (PreK-5) during a maternity leave this winter. You’ll have the chance to make a meaningful impact by working in a supportive educational setting near Nampa, ID, while collaborating with staff and families to enhance student outcomes.

As the SLP covering this maternity leave, your expertise will be crucial in delivering therapy, conducting assessments, and guiding the special education process. You’ll help young learners develop essential communication skills during a pivotal stage in their education.

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Valid SLP license in Idaho and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
• Prior experience in school-based settings, especially with elementary and preschool populations.
• Proficiency in conducting assessments to determine eligibility for services.
• Ability to facilitate and write Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) effectively.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Strong organizational skills and adaptability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct therapy and intervention services to students in preschool through fifth grade.
• Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments.
• Write, update, and facilitate the IEP process for students receiving SLP services.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families to support student progress.
• Maintain thorough documentation and comply with district and state requirements.
• Flexibly adapt to the varied needs of a diverse student group.
