Performs additional miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Clinic Manager or Operations Manager. Performs other duties as assigned. Delivers excellent customer service to patients, families, and other care providers, focusing on family-centered care by displaying a positive attitude and professional demeanor with every patient encounter. Coordinates pre-office visit scheduling, chart review, and general clerical activities. Assists with the onboarding, training, and professional development of Medical Assistant I and II positions and mentors select individuals within the transplant programs. Facilitates day-to-day workflow and operations in conjunction with the Clinic Manager, including customer service recovery, development of daily work assignments, and break schedules. Supports the execution of quality improvement ideas and suggestions to improve the patient experience of care, health of the populations served, and reduce the cost of clinic care. Coordinates clinical care during clinic visits under the direct supervision and responsibility of a licensed physician. Coordinates post-office visit clinical care, including scanning recent clinic visit documents, ensuring diagnostic tests, lab results, and medical records are reviewed by the physician, and scheduling diagnostic procedures. Manages daily clinic consult room readiness, ensuring cleanliness, adequate stocking of supplies, and appearance as specified by the clinic manager. Actively participates in surveys from regulatory and licensing agencies.
