Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with a variety of GI conditions
• Develop individualized treatment plans
• Provide preventive GI screening consultations and follow-up care
• Evaluate patients in both outpatient clinic and hospital settings
• Coordinate pre- and post-procedure care related to endoscopic procedures
• Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic studies
• Prescribe medications in accordance with clinical needs and regulations
• Provide thorough patient education and counseling
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records
• Collaborate closely with gastroenterologists and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals
• Participate in a patient-centered, team-based approach to care
• Manage diverse gastrointestinal conditions while supporting quality outcomes

Qualifications

Required:

• Current New York State NP or PA license
• Current DEA certification
• Minimum 2–3 years of gastroenterology experience
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care

Preferred:

• Experience with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)
• Liver disease experience
• GI motility disorder experience
• Existing hospital privileges or willingness to obtain them
• Spanish-speaking ability is a plus
