Nephrology Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA)

Location: New Windsor, NY & Monroe, NY
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $110,000 to 120,000 + $5,000 bonus (bonus potential increases based on years of experience).

Position Summary

A physician-led, multi-specialty practice is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join its Nephrology team. This role includes a combination of outpatient clinic care, inpatient consultations, and dialysis rounding while working collaboratively with physicians and a multidisciplinary care team.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients with chronic kidney disease, hypertension, electrolyte disorders, and other renal conditions.
• Provide outpatient nephrology care and inpatient consultations.
• Perform dialysis rounding and manage acute and chronic dialysis patients.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging.
• Develop treatment plans and educate patients on kidney disease management.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians, dialysis staff, and the clinical team.
  

Qualifications

Required:

• Active New York NP or PA license.
• DEA certification.
• Minimum 2 years of Nephrology experience.
• Experience with outpatient and inpatient nephrology care.
• Knowledge of dialysis management.
• Strong clinical and communication skills.
  

Preferred:

• Hospital rounding experience.
• BLS and ACLS certification.
• Experience with electronic medical records.
