About The Role The Product Support Engineer (Technician) at Voice Products, Inc. plays a vital role in ensuring the seamless operation and installation of our cutting-edge voice and video recording systems. This full-time, salaried position is based in the Wichita area, within a 50-mile radius, and involves up to 50% travel to client sites for on-site support and installations. The role requires a dedicated professional with a minimum of two years of IT technical support experience or formal IT education. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing remote and on-site technical assistance, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and supporting the sales team with product knowledge. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to work in a dynamic environment, contributing to the company's growth and technological leadership. Candidates must be self-starters, possess excellent communication skills, and demonstrate a positive attitude, with prior experience in hardware and software support being essential. Certifications such as A+, Network+, MCP are preferred, along with experience in telephony, VoIP, radio recording, and SQL Server support. Qualifications Minimum of two years of IT technical support experience or formal IT education Proficiency in hardware troubleshooting and basic hardware repair Experience with software troubleshooting and network fundamentals Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong customer service orientation Valid driver’s license with a good driving record Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, with mileage reimbursement for business travel Certifications such as A+, Network+, MCP are preferred Experience with telephony, VoIP, radio recording, and SQL Server support is a plus Responsibilities Providing analysis, diagnosis, and troubleshooting support for customer inquiries via phone, email, and on-site visits Learning and staying updated on new products and applications to maintain expertise Installing new systems and equipment at customer locations Supporting the sales team by answering product-related questions and providing technical guidance Performing basic hardware repairs and maintenance Documenting service issues, customer interactions, and resolutions accurately into tracking systems Participating in miscellaneous tasks related to product and customer support activities as needed Benefits Voice Products, Inc. offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support the well-being and professional growth of our employees.
