A Day in the Life Careers That Change Lives The Chief of Staff for the CST President will be instrumental in managing the operational cadence, strategic alignment, and communication within the business unit. This role includes overseeing key meetings and reviews, designing agendas, and ensuring follow‑ups. Acting as a liaison between the OU President and various stakeholders, the Chief of Staff will prepare essential communications in partnership with senior leaders. Additionally, the leader will be part of the CST strategy team and will own and advance CST’s strategy and transformation agenda. This role requires a visionary leader with exceptional communication skills, a strong business acumen, and a proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Operating Mechanisms: Own the operational cadence and rhythm for CST LT, i.e., Weekly check‑ins, Monthly Operating Reviews, Quarterly Business Reviews, Extended Leadership Reviews, and Strat plan summits. Design the agenda, meeting planning, and post‑meeting follow‑ups for operating mechanisms and meetings. Own a business performance management scorecard, including a report‑out of key enterprise and OU KPIs, and follow up to drive progress against key KPIs and OKRs Communication and Coordination: Serve as a liaison between the CST OU President and other senior leaders, employees, portfolio, corporate, and external stakeholders. In partnership with the VP of Strategy, CST CFO, VP of HR, and Communications leader, prepare presentations, reports, and other communications on behalf of the President or other key leaders at CST LT. Facilitate effective communication across the business unit to ensure alignment and collaboration. Own and advance the CST Strategy and Transformation agenda: Lead the development of longer‑term strategic and business plans, in alignment with Medtronic’s corporate strategic planning process. Support the overall CST Transformation agenda and monitor the progress of key strategic initiatives in support of the transformation agenda, including key metrics and milestones. Support the CST VP of Strategy on any special projects as needed. Must Have: Minimum Requirements- To be considered for this role, please ensure the minimum requirements are evident in your applicant profile: Bachelors degree required minimum of 15 years of relevant experience with 10+ years of managerial experience, OR advanced degree with a minimum 13 years prior relevant experience, minimum of 10+ years of managerial experience. Nice to Have: MBA or PhD or relevant Master’s degree 3+ years in a top‑tier consulting firm or equivalent experience in business strategy focused on growth, strategy or commercial. 5+ years of domain experience in Medical Devices, digital surgery, product development, specifically in orthopedics or Spine is highly desirable. Successful track record in strategy development, analysis and planning, strong understanding of strategic planning and corporate development processes Strong problem‑solving skills and a demonstrated ability to perform complex qualitative and quantitative analysis. Highly collaborative, teamwork‑oriented, low ego working style, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a hands‑on manner. Excellent communication skills; articulate and persuasive when speaking; able to convey ideas effectively to any audience. Experience navigating ambiguity within a complex organization. Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$229,600.00 - $344,400.00 This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP). This position is eligible for an annual long-term incentive plan. The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
