Position Summary

The General Manager (GM) is responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, including team leadership, guest satisfaction, financial performance, and brand standards. This role requires a hands-on leader who can manage a fast-paced environment with a significant focus on catering production, delivery execution, and in-store sales growth .

This is a salaried position requiring a commitment of 50–55 hours per week , including evenings, weekends, and peak business periods.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

• Oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure efficiency, food quality, and cleanliness standards are consistently met
• Manage labor scheduling to support both in-store and high-volume catering demands
• Ensure strict adherence to Firehouse Subs procedures, food safety, and sanitation regulations

Catering & Delivery Leadership (Critical Focus Area)

• Lead and execute a high-volume catering program , including order planning, production, and on-time delivery
• Personally ensure the success of large catering orders , including early morning prep and coordination
• Oversee and actively support delivery operations , including driver coordination and delivery logistics
• Build and maintain relationships with local businesses to drive recurring catering revenue
• Ensure catering orders meet brand standards in presentation, accuracy, and timeliness
• Train team members on efficient catering assembly and delivery procedures
• Monitor and drive growth in off-premise sales channels (catering, delivery, online orders)

Team Leadership & Development

• Recruit, hire, train, and retain high-performing team members
• Provide coaching and accountability to ensure strong performance and engagement
• Foster a positive, team-oriented culture focused on service and execution
• Lead by example, particularly during high-volume catering and peak operations

Guest Experience

• Ensure exceptional guest service both in-store and during catering/delivery interactions
• Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally
• Maintain a strong presence on the floor during peak and catering-heavy periods

Financial Performance

• Manage food and labor costs while supporting increased catering production
• Drive sales through catering growth and community engagement efforts
• Monitor inventory and control waste, especially with large catering orders

Work Schedule & Commitment

• Salaried position
• Must have an active and maintain ServSafe Food Protection Manager certification.
