Overview
Registered Nurse, Med Surg travel assignment in Hermiston, OR, US. Start date: 07/27/2026 for 13 weeks with 36 guaranteed hours per week on a 3x12-hour day shift (0700–1930). Responsibilities
- Provide direct, individualized nursing care to adult patients before and after surgical procedures
- Assess patient conditions, administer medications, monitor vital signs, and initiate the computerized Plan of Care on admission
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, timely, and effective patient care; respond quickly to changes in condition
- Perform general nursing duties across departments as needed, while maintaining patient confidentiality and delivering empathetic, culturally competent care
- Communicate therapeutically with patients and families; participate in required education for applicable program curricula; participate in appropriate quality and safety initiatives
- Floated to other departments within scope of practice as needed to support patient care

Requirements
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
- Licenses/ Certifications: Current RN license in the State of Oregon; BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
- Certifications/ Certifications: CMSRN preferred; CRASE training preferred; CRASE may be required if travel extends beyond 6 months
- Experience: Previous Medical-Surgical nursing preferred
- Education and continuing education: Evidence of continuing education appropriate for skill level and area of practice
- Additional: Ability to work in a hospital setting with the potential to float to other departments within qualification scope
