Marketing Coordinator

About the Role This is a hands‑on, do‑it‑all role for someone who thrives on variety, knows the city, and takes pride in making things happen behind the scenes. You'll make our marketing happen on the ground: conferences and client dinners, swag and collateral, campaign setup, and the research the team uses to decide where to show up and what to say. One day you're sourcing marketing materials and booking a team dinner, the next you're planning an offsite, arranging travel, and keeping the office stocked and running. About a third of the job is keeping our Austin office running and helping the team feel like a team. A lot of this work now runs on AI systems, and we'll teach you to not just use them but expand and improve upon them. You'll be the connective tissue who turns "someone should handle this" into "already done.". We're growing fast, and this role is built for someone who wants to grow with us. You'll start in this role, but how far this goes is up to you. High‑agency people who take initiative and deliver will find real room to take on more as the company scales. We're looking for someone hungry to build a career here, not just fill a seat. Coordinators who take initiative here can follow their interests into GTM orchestration and marketing ops, content and social, or growth. Tell us what you want to get good at and we'll point the role in that direction. What You’ll Do Marketing Run event logistics: emergency management conferences, trade shows, client dinners, team dinners. Booking, shipping, staffing, and follow‑up. Source and manage swag and collateral. Order it, track it, and get it where it needs to be on time. Learn campaign orchestration with AI tools: building lists, drafting first versions, setting up sequences, keeping the calendar on schedule. Research whatever the team needs to make a call: target accounts, conferences worth attending, competitors, prospect lists. Support our employer brand as we hire, from job posts to social to how candidates experience us. Jump in to support our most ambitious and creative storytelling efforts as a team. Office and team operations Keep the Austin office running: supplies, vendors, parking, and a space that's easy to work in. Coordinate in‑office meetings and visits with clients and partners. Be part of the culture engine: Help plan team events, offsites and traditions to make people excited to work here. Support the President and CEO with light operational asks, like urgent travel changes. Take on the ad hoc projects that come with a fast‑growing company. One note on timing: we move into our new office across from the Palmer Center, with a view of downtown Austin, on October 1. Expect a heavy stretch of office setup as you start. What You Bring 1 to 3 years of experience in marketing, events, operations, or executive support. Running a club, a chapter, a campaign, or a small business counts. Local to Austin, with a network you can use. Knowing who to call for a room, a caterer, or a printer on short notice helps. Excellent writer with good taste. If you use AI to help you, no one can tell. Curiosity about AI tools. You use them already, or you want to learn fast. High agency. You take ownership, move fast, and figure things out. Strong organization and attention to detail. Events and budgets leave little room for error. Genuinely likable, with the people skills to make everyone feel welcome and get things done through good relationships Highest levels of integrity, discretion, and loyalty, since you'll handle sensitive information and budgets.
