Physician Obesity Medicine

West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Medicine seek an Obesity Medicine physician to practice in the Medical Weight Management Program (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidate will practice in Morgantown, WV, and may also provide services at additional work sites in West Virginia and Pennsylvania as needed. Duties Practice in the field of obesity medicine and provide comprehensive patient care. Provide teaching and mentorship to medical students, residents, and fellows. Participate in scholarly activity, including quality improvement and research. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including dietitians, clinical psychologists, advanced practice professionals, and nurses. Use telemedicine, shared medical appointments, and care team meetings for panel management. Offer clinical management of pediatric and adult medical weight‑management cases. Qualifications MD, DO, or foreign equivalent, eligible for state medical license. Completed an accredited internal medicine, medicine‑pediatrics, or family medicine residency. Board‑eligible in primary specialty; board‑certified in Obesity Medicine required within three years of hire. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
