Physician Obesity Medicine

Obesity Medicine Physician – Medical Weight Management Program West Virginia University School of Medicine and its Department of Medicine seek an Obesity Medicine physician to practice in the Medical Weight Management Program. The position is open to Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor ranks. The successful candidate will be based in Morgantown, WV and may be assigned to additional sites in West Virginia and Pennsylvania, requiring travel as needed. Duties Provide comprehensive, non‑surgical obesity medical care to patients. Develop individualized weight‑loss plans and utilize telemedicine, shared appointments, and panel management. Teach medical students, residents, and fellows; participate in the university's fellowship program in obesity medicine. Engage in scholarly activity, quality improvement, and research projects. Qualifications MD, DO, or foreign equivalent with eligibility for a WV medical license. Completion of an accredited internal medicine, medicine‑pediatrics, or family medicine residency. Board eligibility in primary specialty and board certification in Obesity Medicine required within 3 years of hire. Will meet all stated qualifications by appointment date.
