About the Role

The Company is in search of a Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs to serve as its Chief Academic Officer. The successful candidate will be a strategic and forward-looking academic leader, playing a central role in shaping and advancing the institution's academic, research, and student success priorities. This role is pivotal in a time of significant change, and the Provost will be expected to build trust, foster collaboration, and strengthen relationships across the university community. The ideal candidate will have an earned doctorate or terminal degree, a record of scholarly achievement, and significant senior leadership experience, with a strong commitment to shared governance, academic excellence, research growth, faculty engagement, and student success. Key responsibilities for the Provost include guiding the evolution of the university as a premier student-success driven, public research institution, advancing innovation in teaching and learning, and strengthening the alignment among academic programs, workforce needs, research, and community impact. The role also involves stewarding resources in support of academic priorities and long-term sustainability, as well as articulating the value of a university education. The Provost will work closely with the President, deans, faculty, and university leadership to ensure the continued growth and opportunity for the institution, building on its current momentum to advance student success, expand scholarly impact, and foster innovation. The position requires a leader with a strategic vision, operational expertise, and collaborative leadership skills to guide the university through this dynamic period.
