Overview: As an integral member of our team, you will engage in diverse responsibilities, from clinical procedures to patient interaction, ensuring comprehensive care. Your Roles:

• Provide chairside assistance to our amazing doctors , during various dental procedures, including preparing teeth for bonding, placing and removing brackets, separators, fitting bands, and assisting with the placement of brackets & appliances.
• Ensure proper isolation during procedures using appropriate suction techniques.
• Take & Maintain accurate patient records including photographs detailing oral health histories and treatment progress.
• Conduct intraoral X-rays and 3D scans , and take detailed photographs of patients’ teeth to aid in treatment planning. Must have Xray Certification in state of Florida
• We prefer experience with ligating brackets, Invisalign (placing attachments/delivering aligners), iTero or Trios Scanner, Dental Monitoring, familiarity with digital imaging and practice management software programs. We are also willing to train a right fit individual if lacking in some of the above qualifications however you MUST have some orthodontic assistant training whether through a program or on the job.
• Take impressions for the fabrication of customized mouthguards and retainers .
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and braces aftercare.
• Manage and maintain treatment rooms for patients, as well as preparing dental instruments, ensuring all are properly sterilized before each use, in compliance with OSHA and CDC standards.
• Participate in practice promotion activities and community outreach events to enhance patient engagement and clinic visibility.
• Use various dental software systems efficiently; experience with orthodontic/dental software’s is a plus , however training will be provided.
• Maintain organized, detailed treatment notes, contributing to the effective management of patient cases .
• Basic Administrative tasks : such as appointment confirmations, assisting patients over the phone with bookings or questions regarding appointments, record keeping and required HIPPA OSHA documentation.
• Any and all other tasks required or requested by management.

We’re Looking For Someone Who:

• Has at least 2 year of proven experience as a Orthodontic assistant.
• Holds necessary certifications such as X-ray and CPR.
• Possesses a strong understanding of dental instruments, sterilization methods, and health & safety regulations.
• Exhibits excellent communication and interpersonal skills .
• Is bilingual (English & Spanish)—this is a requirement to effectively communicate with our diverse patient base. Please do not Apply if not bilingual.
• Demonstrates good computer skills , attention to detail, and the ability to organize effectively.
• Is well-organized, reliable, and has a high school diploma; graduating from a dental assistant school is preferred.
• Additional certifications or training, such as CDA, EFDA or advanced radiology, are considered an asset.
