Key Responsibilities

• Assist the physical therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans for a diverse patient clientele, focusing on enhancing mobility, strength, and functionality.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, tailored stretches, and activities aimed at promoting physical recovery and alleviating pain.
• Educate patients on effective body mechanics, provide exercise instruction, and develop home exercise programs to promote self-management and enhance recovery.
• Administer therapeutic modalities, including electrical stimulation, ultrasound treatments, and heat/cold therapy, ensuring adherence to guidelines set forth by the supervising physical therapist.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, focusing on metrics such as range of motion, strength improvements, and functional outcomes to inform ongoing treatment adjustments.
• Maintain and prepare treatment spaces, ensuring all equipment and supplies are organized and readily accessible to support efficient therapy sessions.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, contributing to patient assessments and care plans that improve overall therapeutic outcomes.
• Provide empathetic emotional support to patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, fostering a positive and motivating therapy environment.
• Adhere to ethical and professional standards, ensuring patient confidentiality and respect for individual rights.

Qualifications

• Possession of an Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• A valid state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Comprehensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and various therapeutic interventions in the field of physical therapy.
• Demonstrable proficiency in implementing therapeutic treatments and modalities under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build rapport with patients and collaborate effectively within the healthcare team.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in a clinical or hospital rehabilitation setting is highly preferred.

• Experience working with a wide range of patient demographics, particularly in orthopedic and geriatric rehabilitation.

Compensation and Benefits
