Registered Nurse - Psychiatric

Job Description

Job Summary:

The Psychiatric RN will provide specialized mental health nursing care to adult patients in a Behavioral Health setting. This role involves managing acute psychiatric conditions and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess mental health conditions and develop individualized care plans for adult patients.
• Administer medications and monitor for adverse reactions following prescribed protocols.
• Provide therapeutic interventions to support patient stabilization and recovery.
• Document patient progress, treatment responses, and any incidents accurately in the EMR.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
• Ensure compliance with state and facility-specific regulations and safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Must have at least 1 year of recent RN experience in a psychiatric or behavioral health setting.
• Hold an active WV or Compact RN license; pending licenses accepted.
• Possess current AHA CPR and CPI certifications; First Aid required.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Avatar EMR system.
• Be able to obtain fingerprinting clearance in West Virginia prior to start date.
• Flexibility to work 3x12 night shifts on weekdays and every other weekend.
