Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2220 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a West Virginia license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 24 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - WVU Medicine and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - WVU Medicine.

Additional Details:

Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.

If candidate worked a perm facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from perm facility.

Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: cumulative experience applies for previous travelers.

References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.

Required Skills/Experience: Must be able to titrate drips. RNs must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips.

Unit Details: Cardiac and respiratory-focused patient population with no stepdown patients: CR bands, post-cath, AMI, post-op lung surgeries after transfer out of CCU, respiratory failure, chest tubes, pacemakers, and post-PCI patients. No sheath pulling or arterial lines. Uses Philips monitors. CPAP and BiPAP are managed by respiratory therapy. Charge nurse coverage is 24/7; on nights, the charge nurse takes a patient assignment. No aide on night shift during phase 1 opening; charge/lead assists with staffing.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday). Holiday rotation with permanent staff.

Floating Requirements: Float to any Med-Surg/Tele unit.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years

Driver’s license required for submission
