Key Responsibilities For The General Accountant Prepare monthly financial statements and oversee month-end close activities. Manage general ledger, account reconciliations, fixed assets, and depreciation. Process payroll, payroll taxes, and related compliance reporting. Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and banking activities. Administer insurance programs and support select HR-related functions. Provide financial oversight and reporting support to ownership. Qualifications For The General Accountant 5+ years of progressive, full-cycle accounting experience. Experience preparing financial statements, reconciliations, and month-end close. Payroll experience, including payroll tax exposure. Knowledge of Indiana withholding tax requirements preferred.
