As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for implementing critical data solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of project goals.Job responsibilitiesEngages technical teams and business stakeholders to discuss and propose scalable data approaches to meet current and future needsDefines the data target state of their product and drives achievement of the strategyDevelops secure, high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by othersEvaluates recommendations and provides feedback for new technologiesExecutes creative data solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions and break down technical problemsMaps and analyzes end-to-end customer journey by synthesizing data across disparate sources to surface actionable insights and drive experience improvementsIdentifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stabilityFacilitates evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes through probing of data designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architectureCooperates in data analytic communities of practice to drive awareness and use of modern data architecture technologiesRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills10+ years of experience in an analytics, data analysis, or business intelligence role5+ years of hands on experience using program languages such as SQL, Python, R to transform data from back-end sources such as Databricks or TrinoHands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stabilityAbility to work with large datasets and perform data cleaning, transformation, and analysisAdvanced knowledge in one or more object-oriented programming languagesProficient in automation and continuous delivery methodsProficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life CycleAbility to translate complex, technical initiatives into clear, compelling narratives that influence the stakeholder decision and drive actionPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skillsExperience working with one or more reporting applications (Tableau, Starburst, Business Objects, Sigma, etc.)Proficient with software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.) Knowledge of the Financial industry specifically in card or payments sector
