Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to medical-surgical patients, including assessments, monitoring, and ongoing care planning
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and facility protocol; manage IV therapy and wound care as needed
- Monitor patient progress, respond to changes in condition, and escalate concerns to the charge nurse or physician
- Collaborate with the health care team to coordinate care, participate in rounds, and communicate plans of care
- Document nursing assessments and interventions accurately in the electronic health record; ensure compliance with privacy and safety standards
- Support discharge planning and patient/family education on medications, self-care, follow-up needs, and safety precautions

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Med Surg nursing experience preferred
- Ability to work a 3x12-hour day shift schedule
- Availability to start on 07/06/2026
- Must be able to work in a short-term acute care setting
