Job Description

The Department of Neurology at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital seeks a board-certified neurologist to serve as a neuro-hospitalist within our multi-disciplinary neurology program. Our department comprises eight fellowship-trained vascular neurologists, six neuro-intensivists, three cerebrovascular neurosurgeons, and three interventional endovascular specialists, supported by substantial departments of Neurology, Neurosurgery, Emergency Medicine, and Neuroradiology. With over 35 years of established expertise in medical, interventional, and surgical management of neurological conditions, Henry Ford Health maintains a distinguished record in stroke treatment innovation and critical care advancement, with recognized contributions to laboratory, translational, and clinical research.

• Provide direct clinical care to hospitalized patients with acute and complex neurological conditions, ensuring adherence to evidence-based clinical protocols and standards of care
• Participate in multi-disciplinary rounds and case conferences to coordinate comprehensive patient management across neurology, neurosurgery, emergency medicine, and neuroradiology
• Maintain clinical documentation and medical records in compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements
• Supervise and mentor medical students, neurology residents, and fellows in clinical settings, demonstrating clinical excellence and professional standards
• Contribute to departmental quality improvement initiatives and clinical research endeavors
• Maintain board certification and fulfill continuing medical education requirements
• Participate in on-call coverage (1-2 days per month) to ensure continuity of specialized neurological care
• Work collaboratively within a structured 5-day-per-week shift model with administrative support

Qualifications

Must be board eligible or board certified

Must have completed an ACGME/AOA approved Neurology residency program.

Vascular Neurology fellowship or vascular experience preferred
