Senior Escrow Officer

Brickstone Escrow, Inc., is a boutique escrow company built for high-end coastal San Diego real estate. We're not a high-volume shop — we're a white-glove one. Every file gets senior-level attention, every client gets a real relationship, and every closing feels less like a transaction and more like a hand-off between people who actually care how it goes. We're looking for an experienced Escrow Officer with an established book of business to join our team and help us keep raising the bar on what escrow service looks like at the top of the market. This is a relationship-driven role — you'll be the calm, capable point of contact for buyers, sellers, agents, and lenders on complex, high-value transactions where the details (and the stakes) matter. We care as much about how you work as what you know. Technical chops are table stakes. What sets our team apart is genuine hospitality — the instinct to over-communicate, anticipate problems before they happen, and make people feel taken care of from open to close. What you'll do: Open, process, and close escrow files from contract to recordation Prepare and review escrow instructions, deeds, and closing documents Coordinate with lenders, title, agents, attorneys, and all parties to keep transactions moving Manage and reconcile trust funds, disbursements, and escrow accounting Order and review title reports, resolve title issues and contingencies Prepare accurate, timely closing statements and final settlement documents Ensure full compliance with CA escrow law, RESPA, and company policy The Brickstone difference: Deliver a genuinely white-glove client experience — proactive updates, not just responses to questions Build real relationships with agents and repeat clients, not just process their files Anticipate friction points on complex or high-value deals before they become problems Help shape and protect the client experience as we grow — your judgment and instincts matter here What we're looking for: Significant escrow experience with a strong track record of closed transactions An existing book of business — agent, lender, or client relationships you can bring with you Deep familiarity with California escrow and title practices; luxury transaction experience a big plus Exceptional communication skills — warm, clear, and responsive under pressure A genuine customer-service mindset — we're hiring for personality and fit as much as résumé High attention to detail and comfort managing multiple complex files at once A collaborative, low-ego approach — someone who wants to help build something, not just clock in There's a training period to get you fully immersed in our systems, workflows, and the Brickstone way of doing things — even highly experienced officers will spend time learning how we operate differently from a typical high-volume shop.
