What You'll Do

• Provide specialized PACU care for cardiac, trauma, and outpatient surgery patients in a Level 1 trauma and outpatient setting
• Monitor and stabilize patients post-operatively, ensuring recovery from complex procedures like CABG, AAA repair, TAVR, EVAR, and others
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and immediate response to clinical needs
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic electronic medical records
• Follow facility protocols to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes
• Assist in patient education, discharge planning, and preparation for transfer or discharge
• Participate in rotating night shifts, including on-call responsibilities during weeknights and weekends

What You Need

• Valid Ohio RN license
• BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of PACU or ICU experience
• Epic EMR experience

• ACLS certification
• Pre/Post-operative nursing experience
• Level 1 trauma or outpatient surgical experience
• Previous charge nurse or leadership experience

About the Assignment This PACU RN role is based in the Richard M. Ross Heart Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. You'll work in a dedicated cardiac and trauma unit with a patient ratio of 1:1, handling complex surgeries such as CABG, TAVR, EVAR, and pulmonary decortication. The unit offers a dynamic and supportive environment for experienced nurses seeking to make a difference in patient recovery and cardiovascular care.
