Nursing Supervisor

Job Title Nursing Supervisor (RN) Location Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston, NJ Job Overview The Nursing Supervisor represents hospital administration and serves as the delegated agent of the hospital administrative team with the authority of the same on the assigned shift. The role is responsible for coordinating, evaluating, and managing quality and clinical practice activities throughout the medical center in compliance with the Nurse Practice Act, JCAHO, and NJDOH licensing standards. Responsibilities Coordinate and evaluate management and clinical practice activities during the off-shifts, including weekends and holidays. Ensure the unit/department/division is in compliance with all applicable policies, laws, and regulations. Act as delegated agent of hospital administration and represent the administration in all pertinent matters on the shift. Qualifications Graduated from an accredited school of nursing. Minimum of three (3) years of acute care nursing experience. Experience with progressive management. Successful completion of all Orientation Programs. Certifications and Licenses Required Current Registered Nurse License in the state of New Jersey. Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association upon hire. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association. Scheduling Requirements Full-time, night shift. 37.5 hours weekly. Schedule will vary depending on department needs.
