Role Overview

As a Pharmacist, you will assume responsibility for day-to-day comprehensive, patient-oriented pharmacy services during your shift. You'll work under the direction of administrative or clinical coordinators, providing supervision to supportive staff and ensuring sound clinical judgment in decision-making. This role is vital in maintaining high standards of care and contributing to the development of improved patient services.

What You Will Do

• Provide comprehensive, patient-oriented pharmacy services during your shift.
• Exercise sound management and clinical judgment in decision-making.
• Assist coordinators in identifying and resolving problems in your assigned area.
• Participate in training pharmacy interns and externs in various service areas.
• Disseminate drug information to healthcare personnel and provide instruction on drug therapy.

Qualifications

Required

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Michigan (must obtain within 30 days of hire if eligible).
• Demonstrated acumen in verbal and written communication skills.
• Thorough understanding of pathophysiology and pharmacotherapy of disease states.
• Ability to participate in teaching programs and provide instruction to students and healthcare providers.

Preferred

Qualifications

• Residency in hospital pharmacy.
