NP/PA - Nephrology - Duluth, MN

Position Overview NP/PA – Nephrology, 1.0 FTE. The position is based in Duluth, MN and involves both clinic and inpatient (dialysis) care within the three phases of nephrology treatment. Practice Specifics Aplicable advanced practice clinicians (APCs) provide health care to patients of all ages, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. The role requires strong customer‑service skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with physicians and other health‑care professionals. Key Responsibilities Conduct advanced health assessments and apply decision‑making skills in patient care. Treat patients across all age ranges within the nephrology practice, utilizing a team‑based approach with physicians and other clinicians. Care for patients in outpatient clinic, inpatient settings, and dialysis units. Assist physicians with non‑encounter work, including documentation and other clinical tasks. Maintain a high level of customer service by building positive relationships with patients, co‑workers, and community partners. Shift/Schedule Typical shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00a.m. to 5:00p.m. (70% clinic, 30% hospital). Variable start‑and‑end times due to travel across the Duluth, Ashland, Hayward, and Virginia regions. Qualifications Education: Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing or a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program. Licensure/Certification: Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Minnesota and Wisconsin; ongoing national CPR certification; additional specialty certification in a related area is preferred. Experience: Demonstrated ability to manage complex chronic disease processes.
