Job Description: Oracle EBS Financials Technical Developer – GST E-Invoicing Integration

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Oracle E-Business Suite Financials Technical Developer to design, develop, test, and support an integration between Oracle EBS Financials and Suvidha / GST Suvidha Provider-based e-Invoicing platform for India GST compliance.

The developer will be responsible for extracting invoice, credit memo, debit memo, customer, tax, and statutory data from Oracle EBS, transforming the data into the required GST e-invoice format, integrating with Suvidha/GSP APIs, capturing IRN, acknowledgement number, acknowledgement date, signed QR code, and error responses, and updating the relevant Oracle EBS transaction records for compliance and audit purposes.

Key Responsibilities

Oracle EBS Technical Development

• Develop technical components in Oracle E-Business Suite R12 / 12.2.x Financials .
• Build custom PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, views, concurrent programs, alerts, and reports to support GST e-invoicing integration.
• Extract transaction data from Oracle Receivables, Order Management, India Localization / GST, Trading Community Architecture, and tax-related tables.
• Develop outbound data extract programs for invoices, credit memos, debit memos, and other applicable GST documents.
• Build inbound update programs to write back IRN, acknowledgement details, QR code reference, e-invoice status, and error messages into Oracle EBS.
• Create custom tables, staging tables, audit logs, interface tables, and exception-handling frameworks.
• Develop and register concurrent programs, request sets, value sets, lookups, profile options, and responsibilities as required.
• Support XML Publisher / BI Publisher report changes for invoice print formats, including IRN and QR code display.

Suvidha / GST E-Invoicing Integration

• Design and develop integration between Oracle EBS Financials and Suvidha/GSP e-invoicing platform.
• Map Oracle EBS invoice data to GST e-invoice JSON/API format, including supplier, buyer, item, HSN/SAC, GSTIN, place of supply, tax rate, taxable value, CGST, SGST, IGST, document type, and document number.
• Build integration logic for IRN generation, invoice status enquiry, cancellation, error retrieval, and reprocessing.
• Handle API authentication, token generation, encryption/security, request/response handling, and API timeout scenarios.
• Capture Suvidha/GSP response details and update Oracle EBS with successful, failed, cancelled, or pending e-invoice status.
• Build retry and reprocessing functionality for failed transactions.
• Support reconciliation between Oracle EBS invoices and e-invoice portal / Suvidha responses.

Oracle Financials and India GST Support

• Work closely with Finance, Tax, GST compliance, and Oracle functional teams to understand business requirements.
• Support GST e-invoicing scenarios for B2B invoices, export invoices, SEZ transactions, credit memos, debit memos, and applicable tax invoice flows.
• Validate mandatory GST fields such as GSTIN, legal entity, customer address, state code, HSN/SAC, tax classification, place of supply, tax rate, and taxable value.
• Support data validation rules before invoice submission to reduce rejection from the Suvidha/GSP platform.
• Provide technical support for India Localization / GST-related invoice and tax extraction requirements.
• Ensure auditability, traceability, and compliance reporting for e-invoicing transactions.

Testing, Deployment, and Support

• Prepare technical design documents, integration specifications, data mapping documents, and unit test scripts.
• Perform unit testing, system integration testing, regression testing, and support user acceptance testing.
• Validate positive and negative test scenarios, including missing GSTIN, invalid HSN/SAC, tax mismatch, duplicate invoice, API failure, rejected invoices, and cancellation flows.
• Support migration of technical objects using AOL migration, FNDLOAD, XDOLoader, scripts, or approved deployment methods.
• Provide production deployment, cutover, hypercare, and post-go-live support.
• Troubleshoot production issues related to data extraction, API failures, invoice rejections, tax data mismatches, and response updates.

Required Skills and Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on experience as an Oracle EBS Technical Developer .
• Strong experience in Oracle EBS Financials , especially Accounts Receivable, Order Management integration, India Localization / GST, and tax-related flows.

• Experience designing and developing ERP integrations with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, file-based integration, or custom PL/SQL-based integration.
• Good understanding of JSON, XML, API request/response handling, authentication, encryption, error handling, and retry logic.
• Experience working with invoice, customer, tax, legal entity, and transaction data in Oracle EBS.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across Oracle EBS, database, integration, and external API layers.
• Ability to work with finance users, tax teams, Oracle functional consultants, middleware teams, and third-party API vendors.

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience with India GST e-invoicing integration from Oracle EBS, Oracle ERP Cloud, SAP, or another ERP platform.
• Experience working with GST Suvidha Providers, IRP APIs, e-way bill APIs, or tax compliance platforms.
• Knowledge of Oracle EBS India Localization / Financials for India.
• Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud, SOA Suite, MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, or similar middleware platforms.
• Experience with QR code handling and invoice PDF template customization.
• Understanding of GST compliance, IRN, GSTIN, HSN/SAC, CGST, SGST, IGST, reverse charge, exports, SEZ, and e-way bill concepts.
• Experience supporting production support, month-end close, statutory reporting, and compliance-critical interfaces.

• BI Publisher / XML Publisher invoice template changes.
• Exception dashboard / report for failed, pending, successful, and cancelled invoices.
• Unit test scripts, integration test results, deployment plan, and production support documentation.

Success Criteria

• Oracle EBS invoices are successfully submitted to Suvidha/GSP for GST e-invoice generation.
• IRN, QR code, acknowledgement, and status details are accurately updated back into Oracle EBS.
• Failed and rejected invoices can be clearly identified, corrected, and reprocessed.
• Finance and tax users have visibility into e-invoice submission status and exceptions.
• Integration is secure, auditable, scalable, and supportable for production operations.
• Invoice print formats include required e-invoice details for business and compliance use.

Education and Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Oracle EBS Financials technical certification or Oracle database certification is preferred.
• Knowledge of India GST compliance and Oracle Financials for India is strongly preferred.
