Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)

Medical Technologist Schedule: Variable - 8 hour shifts, days, evenings, or nights Assignment Details: Contract Length: 26 weeks Guaranteed Hours: 32 per week Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related field required Must be board eligible by NCA or ASCP and complete board certification within one year of employment One to three years of related or progressively more responsible experience in chemistry, blood bank, hematology, and microbiology or formal student internship Certification at MT by American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or CLS by National Accrediting Agency (NCA) within one year of employment Must have clinical laboratory instrumentation knowledge Laboratory generalist capability Ability to work independently and provide direction to Medical Laboratory Assistants Compliance / Notes: Private housing is not provided; all housing are shared units; pets are not allowed Airfare is paid initially by the candidate and reimbursed upon arrival Proof of completed COVID vaccinations is required Required immunizations include Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, T-Dap, and Polio or titers/historical shot records A background check and drug screening are necessary before onboarding New employee orientation occurs every Tuesday and Wednesday only Client Details: City: Bethel State: AK TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is an equal-opportunity employer and fully complies with all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
