Strong Candidates Strong candidates for this role typically have: Led product at an early-stage SaaS company Improved activation, retention, or monetization through product changes Run direct customer discovery consistently Used product analytics tools like Mixpanel or Amplitude Used AI tools to accelerate experimentation What You’ll Do As Head of Product, you own what gets built and why. You translate customer insight, product data, and company strategy into a roadmap that drives measurable growth. Core Responsibilities Run weekly customer conversations Analyze product usage and funnel data Prioritize roadmap decisions based on outcomes Improve activation, retention, and conversion metrics Work closely with engineering to ship meaningful improvements Ensure every major product decision ties to customer insight or data Help shape the product strategy for ClickFlow and Revenue Agents You will not manage engineers day-to-day. The engineering lead handles execution. Your role is to decide what the team builds and validate whether it worked. Success Metrics (First 6–12 Months) Customer feedback loop operational ongoing conversations with active, churned, and drop-off users Signup completion improved page view → signup completion reaches 20%+ Activation improved 40%+ of new users reach the core value moment Trial-to-paid conversion improved sustained conversion of 15%+ Churn reduced monthly churn under 8% Data-driven roadmap major product decisions tied to customer insight or product analytics Revenue Agents product launched and piloted with early customers. Strong written communicator You can clearly communicate insights and product decisions. Anti-Patterns This role is not for: The Feature Factory PM Ships features without tying them to outcomes. The Process Architect Over-focuses on product process rather than product results. The Big Company PM Needs large teams or resources to execute. The Non-Technical Ideas Person Cannot interpret product data or collaborate technically with engineers.
