Roles & Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Maintain knowledge of all payroll and benefits software and websites used.
\n
• Maintain knowledge of relevant laws and policies and procedures
\n
• Recommend development and revision of employee benefit programs by examining, evaluating, and optimizing employee understanding, acceptance, and interests, costs, regulatory requirements, and competitive advantage.
\n
• Prepare for any benefit audits, including 401k, and consult with the auditors
\n
• Collaborate with internal staff, temps, and accounting on changes to or questions about payroll & benefits
\n
• Prepare and submit reports required or requested
\n
• Process annual open enrollment
\n
• Prepare annual forms and filings for the controller to review and submit
\n
• Pay and file payroll taxes, workers comp, deductions, garnishments, etc.
\n
• Send Annual Notices as required for payroll and benefits
\n
• All other duties as assigned
\n

Requirements

\n

\n
• BS/BA in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field
\n
• Professional certification (e.g., SHRM) is a plus
\n
• 3+ years working experience in Human Resources, payroll, or benefits
\n
