General Manager (Restaurant Operations) M&M Custard, LLC | Franchisee of Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers The General Manager leads all aspects of restaurant operations, building and developing a high-performing team while driving consistent execution and strong financial results. The General Manager serves as the on-site business leader of the restaurant and reports directly to the District Manager. This role is accountable for overall restaurant performance, including team development, operational execution, and financial results. The General Manager leads a team of 2540 team members and is responsible for building a high-performing leadership team, maintaining operational discipline, and delivering consistent results across all dayparts. Key Responsibilities Leadership and Team Development Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing team Establish clear expectations and drive accountability through coaching and performance management Develop managers to lead shifts and teams effectively Foster a culture of professionalism, consistency, and results Training & Development Oversee execution of all training programs, including onboarding and certification Ensure training standards are consistently applied Hold managers accountable for training completion and reinforcement Identify gaps and implement development plans Track training progress and maintain readiness Operational Execution Lead day-to-day restaurant operations across quality, service, cleanliness, and speed Maintain active presence in the restaurant Ensure consistent execution of all operational standards Financial & Labor Management Drive financial performance through planning and accountability Forecast sales and align labor strategies Monitor key metrics including labor, food cost, and sales trends Use data to improve performance Workforce Planning & Scheduling Develop schedules aligned with business needs Ensure appropriate staffing levels Maintain labor efficiency Standards, Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with all operational and safety standards Conduct audits and inspections Address performance issues promptly What Success Looks Like Well-trained and accountable team Strong performance across key metrics Consistent execution across all day parts Development of capable managers Clean and organized restaurant Qualifications 23+ years of restaurant or retail management experience Supervisory or Assistant Manager experience required Experience in QSR or fast-casual preferred Knowledge of POS, BOH systems, inventory, and reporting tools Experience with cash handling and deposits Proficiency in email, scheduling, and basic computer tools Strong analytical and problem-solving skills ServSafe Certification (or equivalent) preferred Must be authorized to work in the United States Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays Physical Requirements Stand and walk for extended periods Lift up to 40 lbs Bend, stoop, and perform repetitive movements Work in fast-paced environment with heat and noise Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary Quarterly performance bonuses Weekly Pay 401(k) with match (21+) Referral bonuses Training & Career Development 5 weeks of structured training Ongoing development opportunities Path to District Manager Scholarship programs Additional Benefits Free and discounted meals Paid training Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability Additional Information Employment is contingent upon background checks.
