Summary: The back office Registered Nurse assists the provider (Physician, Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) in examination and treatment of patients within the BioTE program by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include The Following The following statements are illustrative of the essential duties of the job and do not include other nonessential or peripheral duties that may be required. • Welcomes patients and prepares patients for health care visit Places patient in exam room for provider evaluation Obtains medical history and verifies patient information Prepares, assists and accurately completes all forms and educates patients Provide age appropriate care for patients Completes patient records
• Supports patient care delivery Assists providers during examination and treatment and administer BioTE program Takes vital signs and performs all ancillary tests appropriate to skill level, certifications and state regulations (Collect lab specimens: UA, sputum, stool; Perform CPR; Assist with pelvic exams; Assist with visitor control and in notifying patients/families of any delay in care; Draw venous labs)
• Perform daily and weekly duties as assigned Maintains supplies, cleans rooms and equipment, and stocks rooms with required supplies Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment. Assists in maintaining a neat, clean and orderly appearance in the lobby and overall office throughout the day
• Conducts business in a service-oriented manner that is attentive, cooperative, sensitive, respectful and kind with all patients, visitors, the public and all colleagues
• Back up front office, when needed Performs front office clerical duties such as answering telephones, check-in, checkout and record processing as requested. Performs clerical activities related to appointment scheduling and patient intake, data verification, office communications, and filing of patient records
• Attends staff meetings as required
• Completes required certifications; becomes proficient in clinic systems and procedures, and maintains knowledge in all policies, practices and procedures.
• Maintains certifications per state guidelines Must demonstrate knowledge of the rationale of appropriate patient care
• Follows all OSHA standards, policies and procedures
• Follows all HIPPA standards, policies and procedures
• Performs duties to achieve or exceed established service standards.
• Functions as a resource for Medical Assistants, EMT's, and LPN's

Minimum Education/Experience Must possess Registered Nurse license Strong computer skills required. EMR experience preferred

Preferred Education/Experience Bachelor of Science, Nursing (BSN) preferred Bilingual Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) card Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) card Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) card Limited Scope X-ray (LST) certificate Athenahealth practice management system

Customer Service Excellence Provide customer service in accordance to clinic mission Demonstrate ability to be courteous and respectful when interacting with patients and family members Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance to policy and procedure and HIPAA requirements Enact proper chain of command for patient complaints

Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, patients, and the general public

Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables

Salary: $35 - $40 / hour
