Senior Director, Total Rewards

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Director, Total Rewards to join the team of a leader in the Consumer Technology space.
This role will shape the enterprise-wide compensation and benefits strategy for a public, growth-oriented organization with a strong focus on performance, talent attraction, and retention. You will partner closely with executive leadership, board-level stakeholders, and senior program leaders to ensure reward programs are competitive, financially sound, and aligned with business objectives. The position also has a meaningful role in advancing operational efficiency through modern Total Rewards technology and data-informed decision-making.
Location: Brooklyn, NY - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $235,000 – $305,000 annually
Responsibilities
- Set and communicate the Total Rewards philosophy aligned with business strategy
- Translate the performance philosophy into compensation and benefits programs that support a high-performance culture
- Monitor market trends to ensure programs remain competitive and innovative
- Make key decisions on compensation structures and benefits architecture
- Continuously improve talent attraction and retention strategies
- Oversee the preparation of compensation committee materials and present to board members
- Lead technology adoption in Total Rewards to improve operational efficiency
Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience in Total Rewards, with expertise in compensation and benefits
- Experience managing senior practitioners who lead program teams
- Proven track record formulating and executing Total Rewards strategies
- Comfort presenting to executive leadership and board-level committees
- Strong financial skills for business case development and budget discussions
- Familiarity with complex equity program management at a public company
