Location: Dallas, TX (4 days in office) Leading alternative investment platform focused on private markets strategies, including real estate, private credit, and other alternative investment vehicles. The firm partners with institutional investors and operates across complex fund structures requiring sophisticated accounting, reporting, and operational support. This role sits directly alongside a client's internal finance leadership team and offers significant exposure to fund operations, valuation processes, investor reporting, and strategic initiatives. Job Title Position Summary A leading alternative investment platform is seeking an Assistant Controller to support accounting, reporting, and operational oversight for a portfolio of closed-end real estate and private credit investment funds. This highly visible role partners closely with senior finance leadership and third-party service providers while supporting fund accounting, financial reporting, valuation processes, liquidity management, and investor reporting activities. The position offers substantial exposure to complex fund structures and provides an opportunity to take ownership of critical fund finance functions. Key Responsibilities Review quarterly financial statements, workpapers, and investor reporting packages Support accounting and reporting for closed-end alternative investment funds Review: Distributions Investor allocations Waterfall calculations Management fee calculations Fund Structures & Operations Support accounting across complex fund structures including: Blockers Aggregators REIT structures Alternative investment vehicles Assist with fund launches and new product initiatives Valuations & Portfolio Support Coordinate valuation support and reporting activities Partner with investment and asset management teams on portfolio-related reporting Treasury & Liquidity Management Support liquidity planning and funding activities Assist with credit facility management and financing-related reporting Coordinate reporting related to hedging and treasury activities Audit & Third-Party Oversight Coordinate annual and interim audits Review work performed by third-party fund administrators Serve as a key liaison among service providers, auditors, and internal stakeholders Process Improvement Enhance reporting processes and operational workflows Drive efficiencies across fund accounting and reporting functions Support special projects and strategic finance initiatives Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field CPA preferred 8–15 years of experience in: Fund accounting Fund finance Alternative investments Public accounting with alternatives focus Experience with: Private credit funds Private equity fund structures Strong understanding of: Fund accounting NAV review Investor allocations Closed-end fund structures Experience overseeing third-party fund administrators Advanced Excel skills Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities #J-18808-Ljbffr Atlas Search
