JOB SUMMARY:

Melissa Memorial Hospital invites applicants for interested Physical Therapists to join our Rehab team. We offer highly competitive wages, direct 1:1 patient care, and flexible scheduling. Therapists have the opportunity of providing care to a diverse caseload and working with all ages. Opportunities exist for a caseload to be tailored to the applicants' experience and desires.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

This position is responsible for the evaluation, planning, administration, and supervision of Physical Therapy treatment. In accordance with physician referral, state and national organizational standards, regulatory agencies, and established departmental policies and procedures. This position demonstrates the clinical competence and knowledge necessary to provide treatment appropriate to the age of the patients served. Demonstrating compassionate care and caring behavior is fundamental to each patient. This position requires the ability to be or become proficient with computer skills. Software applications are commonly used with patient care.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have graduated from an APTA accredited school of Physical Therapy (or equivalent).
• Must have a current Physical Therapy license within the state of practice (Colorado).
• BLS Certificate

PREFERRED:

• Understanding of Rural Healthcare
• Pelvic Floor Certificate

MELISSA MEMORIAL HOSPITAL:

Melissa Memorial Hospital is a 15-bed critical access hospital, located in Holyoke, Colorado. While being "rural" we are equipped for any situation. It is a model rural hospital with 1 operating room, surgical procedure room, 4 bay emergency room, and radiology including 64-slice CT scanner and mammography, MRI, ECHO, and Nuclear Medicine, along with other ancillary services. The hospital is co-located with a family practice clinic and retail pharmacy services. Other services include chemotherapy, general & orthopedic surgery, podiatry, cardiology, orthopedic surgery, progressive rehab services, and wound care. MMH operates a full-time EMS service and maintains a 24/7 AirLife Helicopter base.
