What Your Role Entails
- Create Tailored Treatment Plans: Assess patient needs and formulate individualized therapy strategies to support them in reaching their functional aspirations.
- Implement Therapeutic Techniques: Apply evidence-based interventions to promote patients' motor skills, cognitive function, and activities of daily living.
- Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams: Work alongside fellow OTs, PTs, STs, medical professionals, and nursing staff to deliver well-rounded, holistic care.
- Educate Patients and Families: Provide guidance to patients and their caregivers on therapy methods that encourage ongoing progress beyond the clinical setting.
- Track Progress and Adjust Care: Monitor clinical outcomes and modify treatment plans as needed to ensure patients remain aligned with their rehabilitation goals.
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational program.
- Continuing education or advanced certifications are encouraged and supported to foster professional growth.
- Active Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license is required.
- NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification is a must.
- A heartfelt commitment to helping people achieve their greatest level of independence.
- Empathetic and clear communication abilities with both patients and fellow professionals.
