We’re currently seeking a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machinist Foreman to support our growing manufacturing operations with our team on-site in Memphis, Tennessee . This position will directly assist all processes associated with CNC machining within the facility and contribute as a vital part of the production process for specialty trackwork.  This is a full-time, direct opportunity with Atlantic Track.  This position will support our first shift, which operates Monday through Friday from 6:00am to 2:30pm.

Roles and Responsibilities:

·         Leads a team of CNC Machinists to produce quality parts according to specifications

·         Operates CNC milling machines to contribute to production needs

·         Performs editing to CNC programming and makes adjustments to speeds and feeds

·         Reads and interprets blueprints, technical drawings, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) requirements

·         Utilizes precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges, and coordinates measuring machines to ensure accuracy

·         Performs setup and tooling changes on CNC equipment

·         Coordinates with Maintenance team to ensure that preventive and corrective maintenance is performed in a timely manner

·         Assists in the assembly of components and utilizes hand tools and power tools for various tasks

·         Maintains a neat, organized, and safe work area

·         Loads and unloads parts on machine by crane

·         Complete required quality documentation

·         Maintains a positive and helpful attitude to assist other team members in the shop

·         Conducts team performance reviews and continuously monitors team attendance, work quality, safety, processes and procedures, and workload scheduling

Minimum Qualifications:

·         High school diploma or equivalent (GED, HiSET, TASC, etc.)

·         Minimum of 8 years of CNC machining in a manufacturing environment

·         Minimum of 3 years of experience leading a team in a manufacturing environment

·         Ability to read and interpret CNC programs and blueprints

·         Advanced mechanical knowledge

·         Basic shop math skills to be used for measurements and calculations related to machining tasks

·         Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality control standards

·         Ability to work on-site in Memphis, Tennessee

Preferred Qualifications:

·         Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system familiarity

·         Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

·         Associate’s or technical degree

·         Railroad experience

·         Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 10 or 30-hour certification

·         Forklift certification

·         Experience operating overhead cranes
