NY - Real Estate Associate Attorney (Mid-Level)

Location: New York, NY | Schedule: Full-time, Hybrid | Compensation: $260,000 – $420,000 base salary, plus discretionary bonus Overview A global law firm with a large, established Real Estate Practice Group is seeking a mid-level Associate Attorney to join its New York office. This is an opportunity to work alongside a collaborative team of more than 80 real estate attorneys nationwide, advising on complex, high-value transactions that shape the commercial real estate landscape. What you'll do Support senior attorneys in structuring, drafting, and negotiating a wide variety of real estate transactions, including financing, acquisition, development, and joint venture matters Conduct due diligence and coordinate closing processes for complex real estate deals Prepare and review key transactional documents such as loan agreements, purchase and sale agreements, leases, and joint venture agreements Advise clients on real estate and financing matters, delivering practical, business-oriented guidance Collaborate across practice groups, including corporate and tax, to deliver comprehensive solutions for clients' real estate projects Develop strong working relationships with clients and internal stakeholders through responsiveness and high-quality work Required qualifications JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record Active Bar Admission in New York, in good standing 3-7 years of substantive real estate transactional experience Experience representing lenders and/or borrowers in real estate financings, acquisitions, dispositions, development projects, leasing, and joint ventures Experience negotiating, documenting, and closing of mortgage, mezzanine, and other secured lending transactions Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills with a high attention to detail Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Collaborative mindset, professionalism, and enthusiasm for client service are essential Preferred qualifications Prior experience at a large law firm or sophisticated real estate practice is highly preferred Compensation and benefits Annual base salary expected to range from $260,000 – $420,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and market factors Discretionary bonus opportunities are also available Comprehensive benefits package: medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance; 401(k) plan; paid parental leave; time off; wellness initiatives; commuter benefits; and employee assistance programs Additional perks: sabbatical program, student loan refinancing support, 529 College Savings Plan, relocation expenses, bar expenses and bar leave, concierge program, fertility treatments, adoption expenses, and corporate discounts Why this role This is an opportunity to join a distinguished, fast-growing Real Estate Practice, gaining hands‑on experience early in your career while working directly with clients on sophisticated matters, supported by personalized mentorship and a clear path to advancement. #J-18808-Ljbffr Software Placement Group, SPG
