Medical Assistant Dermatology

Dermatology Medical AssistantWe are looking for a Medical Assistant for our dermatology clinic that will provide comprehensive patient care and clinic support assisting with medical and cosmetic dermatology procedures, patient education and ensuring efficient clinic operations while maintaining a high standard of patient-centered care.Assist Provider during medical and cosmetic procedures such as excisions, laser treatments and injectablesPerform patient assessments, including taking medical histories, documenting concerns, and preparing patients for exams or treatments.Provide wound care, bandaging and post-procedure instructions.Administer prescribed medications including topical treatments and injections as directed by the ProviderMonitor patients during procedures and report any adverse reactions or concerns to the provider.Educate patients on skincare regimens, post-procedure care and the use of prescribed treatmentsProvide information on preventative skincare, sun protection, and lifestyle adjustments to support skin healthPrepare and maintain exam rooms, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for proceduresManage medical supplies and inventory, ensuring the availability of necessary equipment and medicationsAssisting with scheduling follow-ups and coordinating patient care with other healthcare providers if needed.Accurately document patient information, treatments, and progress in electronic medical records (EMR)Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, clinic protocols and patient confidentiality standards (HIPAA)Job RequirementsActive Medical Assistant certification in the state of Nebraska in good standingStrong communication and interpersonal skills for patient interactionAttention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environmentProficiency in clinical procedures and medical terminologyPrevious experience in dermatology, aesthetics or outpatient clinical setting is strongly preferredFamiliarity with dermatologic procedures and EMR systems is a plusBenefits and SalaryAt Bareskin Dermatology, we believe a satisfying work environment makes our teams more successful at delivering the care and compassion needed.
