# Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Texas

Start Date: September 14, 2026

Location: Corpus Christi, Texas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with alternating weekends; no on-call required. Day shift: 6:30 AM – 6:30 PM; Night shift: 6:30 PM – 6:30 AM. Patient ratio 1:4 depending on acuity.

Highlights:

• Fast-paced 24/7 Freestanding Emergency Department with 15 beds
• Collaborative team environment with RNs and EMT-Ps working together to deliver high-quality emergency care
• Advanced equipment including Baxter pumps, Hamilton ventilators, GE cardiac monitors, and Stryker stretchers
• Electronic Medical Records: Meditech
• Minimal floating required – five ER locations typically staffed to core
• Critical care focus including Sepsis, STEMI, Stroke, and Trauma identification and management

Requirements:

• Current Texas RN license or ability to obtain
• BLS, ACLS, TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), CPI or equivalent
• PALS or ENPC certification
• Strong critical thinking and rapid assessment skills
• Experience in emergency nursing with competency in IV starts, medication administration, splinting, wound care, and airway management/ventilator support preferred
• Ability to quickly identify and respond to time-sensitive conditions including Sepsis, STEMI, Stroke, and Trauma
