Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 36-48 hours Experience: Preferred acute care facility experience License: Required Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice Certifications: Required Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Required Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification Required Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification Required National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale completion Must-Have: EPIC experience Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment. Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnoses and care issues. Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain desired outcomes. Implements the plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Identifies outcomes for the patient or the patient's situation. Collaborates with the patient, family, and healthcare providers to provide safe and compassionate care. Provides learning opportunities for patients, family members, and team members. Directly provides health information to patients, families, and the treatment team. Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates the duties of healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Commits to the safety and well-being of associates and patients by ensuring compliance with vaccination requirements. Participates in the employment verification process as required.
