Assistant Store Manager

Compensation Pay Range: $19.18 - $25.90. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance, or premiums that may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met. The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in areas of sales, customer service, store appearance and store operations. This position will manage the store during the Store Manager’s absence and/or when working opposing shifts. The Assistant Manager will be expected to lead the store team members in servicing customers. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply. Essential Job Functions Lead the store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers. Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom and ensure team member execution on customer service programs such as Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, and Rock the Lot. Work with the store manager to ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed, especially during peak retail business hours (lunch, late‑afternoons, evenings, weekends). Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback on goal achievement, coaching and mentoring team members, and ensuring they stay current on individual training. Assist in the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, evaluating candidates, and collaborating with management to select qualified team members. Make sure the telephone is answered according to company policy. Ensure all buy online/ship to store orders, hub and store‑to‑store transfers, and DC add orders are processed in a timely manner and customers are contacted upon shipment arrivals as needed. Utilize the electronic outside purchase order ledger to handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and according to procedure. Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently and friendlily, issue accurate refunds using the correct payment methods, and stage returned merchandise correctly in the returns area. Invoicing all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before product leaves the store. Communicate Zipline messages, delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks, and ensure they are completed as assigned. Ensure all team members comply with company policies, adhere to posted work schedules, receive management approval for changes or deviations, and clock in/out correctly. Perform all store opening and closing duties, including day‑end procedures, verifying and securing money and deposits according to company policy, preparing bank deposits, ensuring night security lights are on, locking doors, securing the building, arming and disarming security alarms, and checking and securing delivery vehicles in the designated area. Assist the store manager in maintaining the store building, parking lot, exterior signage and lighting, computer hardware, in‑store service equipment, test equipment, and delivery vehicles. All other duties as assigned. Skills, Education, Knowledge, Experience, and Abilities Required: Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification, and RSS Certification.
