Established and highly rated independent restaurant seeks an experienced Executive Chef to revamp our kitchen staff and lead culinary operations. The Executive Chef will be responsible for setting menus, managing a small kitchen team, and overseeing both kitchen operations and menu innovation. This role offers a talented leader the autonomy to drive culinary excellence without the pressures of ownership, reporting directly to the owner.
Responsibilities
- Plan and design menus that reflect the restaurant’s vision and culinary standards
- Manage kitchen operations and lead a small team of up to 10 staff members
- Provide strong leadership and mentorship to kitchen staff
- Control inventory and oversee cost management to ensure profitability
- Develop and refine recipes for consistent quality and innovation
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in culinary management
- Culinary Arts degree or equivalent experience
