Summer Lecturer Pool - Digital Humanities - Division of Arts and Humanities

Position Overview Salary range: The UC academic salary scales set the minimum pay at appointment. See the following table for the current salary scale for this position: A reasonable salary estimate for full-time Lecturer positions is $70,977 - $82,284. Percent time: Summer Sessions Lecturers are appointed at 11% in part‑time positions that are weighed at 50%. Lecturers can teach more than one course at a time. Anticipated start: Summer appointments begin in the last week of May and run into mid August. Review timeline: Typically, the Division reviews applications for summer teaching in February/March. Applicants are considered for positions as needs arise; the existence of this pool does not guarantee that a position is available. Position Description The Division of Arts and Humanities at the University of California, Berkeley seeks applications for a pool of outstanding lecturers to teach Digital Humanities using data science tools to teach online courses in the Digital Humanities Summer Minor. In addition to instruction, general duties include holding office hours, developing syllabi and assignments, writing and grading exams, and grading and commenting on papers.
