Registered Nurse Emergency Room

Job Summary:

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) provides urgent and critical patient care in a fast-paced emergency setting. They assess, plan, and implement treatment for patients experiencing serious medical conditions and injuries.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Assess patients quickly upon arrival to identify severity of conditions.
  
  
• 
  Administer emergency treatments, medications, and interventions as prescribed.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care.
  
  
• 
  Document patient history, assessments, and care activities accurately in the electronic medical record (Cerner).
  
  
• 
  Monitor patient status continuously, escalating care as needed.
  
  
• 
  Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and post-discharge instructions.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Possess a minimum of 2 years of RN emergency department experience.
  
  
• 
  Hold active state RN license in Michigan.
  
  
• 
  Maintain current ACLS, TNCC, BLS (AHA), and PALS (AHA) certifications.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency in emergency nursing protocols and procedures.
  
  
• 
  Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure, time-sensitive situations.
